A simple, well-proportioned design is inspired by the hard working bungalows of the early twentieth century. An efficient, open floor plan encourages flexible uses for each space and is carefully finished to provide an environment that lives much larger than its nominal square footage.

Kirby Cottages have been designed to respect the scale and proportions of the existing neighborhood of which they are becoming part, and sited to incorporate and preserve a majority of the existing mature trees on the site. The focus was on the movements of the pedestrian rather than the automobile.
